Samsung officially announces Galaxy Tab S 10 5 and 8 4 slates



The South Koreans scheduled Samsung Galaxy Premiere 2014 event is over from the New York City, and the company has left us their two new and previously leaked tablets, from their new Galaxy Tab S line-up. The slates from the Korean manufacturer is said to be the companys thinnest and lightest tablets to date, only measuring 6.6 millimeters in thickness.

Samsungs newly introduced Galaxy Tab S series is packed with the worlds first high-resolution and industry leading WQXGA screens of 2560 x 1600 resolution by 16:10 ratio in Super AMOLED panels for mobile devices with the most advanced display technology and premium content for entertainment experience from Samsungs hub. Screens of the units are reported to cover 90% more of Adobes RGB color coverage, with 100,000:1 contrast ratio.The less than one pound weighing tablets is designed mainly for portability and comfortable holding in hands experience for longer periods of usage. The devices are made out of the traditional plastic build with the perforated fake leather texture over it.

The fresh slates from Samsung also features more than just hardware specification with its additional screen technologies. The tablets advanced outdoor visibility technology allows its customers to take advantage of new screens even under bright sun light, in the out-of-doors conditions. The slates has got the firms new Adaptive Display, which ensures its users with the best visual experience anywhere and anytime, as noted. The units itself will adjust its gamma, saturation and sharpness automatically, based on the color temperature in the viewing environment with its built-in ambient light sensors. There is also the two new professional modes, named as AMOLED Cinema and AMOLED Photo, that lets you set the display settings manually for screening both videos and photos.



Now from the software side, Samsung will make its debut of their new magazine service, dubbed as Papergarden, which comes with a wide range of conjunct digital magazines. And with Galaxy Gifts, the company is offering its users with premium content and services subscriptions and free trials, where it includes, Marvel Unlimited, Kindle for Samsung, Google Play, My Library, Netflix, Bloomberg Businessweek+, Cisco WebEX Meetings, LIVESPORT.TV, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and much more.

Like Samsung present flagship, Galaxy S5, the brand new slates also ships with the Multi User Mode, packing Samsungs biometrics reader or fingerprint scanner integrated to the physical home button of the units, in which up to eight members from the family can customize the tablets with Private Mode on board. There also the Kids Mode with dedicated easy to use, user interface and children friendly applications.



So, in term of the internal hardware specifications, the tablets will remain identical in most of its aspects, coming out of the box with an Exynos 5 Octa chipset with 1.9GHz Quad-Core Cortex-A15s and 1.3GHz Quad-Core Cortex-A7 cores or Quad-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, with clock speed of 2.3GHz, 10.5-inches and 8.4-inches WQXGA Super AMOLED screens of 2560 x 1600 resolution display, 16 and 32 gigabytes of expandable internal storage options, with three gigabytes of Random Access Memory on either models. The slates have an eight megapixels main lens with LED flash on the back, with a 2.1 megapixels secondary snapper on the front, both capable of capturing Full High Definition 1080p videos at 30 frames-per-second. The tablets will be available in both WiFi-only and LTE models, sporting 4G LTE and 3G network support alongside, Bluetooth 4.0, IR Blaster and a bunch of other sensors. Each of this units will run over Androids version 4.4 KitKat with Samsungs Magazine UX and other proprietary system features for multi tasking, like MultiWindow and more. The firm also unveiled new SideSync 3.0 feature, which offers seamless connectivity between Samsung smartphones and tablets. The Remote PC, that access to your Personal Computer from anywhere.

The Galaxy Tab S 10.5 has got a 7,900mAh powered battery and measures 247.3 x 177.3 x 6.6 millimeters and the WiFi-only version weighs about 465 grams, where else LTE variant is 467 grams heavy. The Galaxy Tab S 8.4 features a 4,900mAh battery and measures around 125.6 x 212.8 x 6.6 millimeters on scale and weighs 294 grams (WiFi) and 298 grams (LTE), respectively.

According to them, the slates will be available in Titanium Bronze and Dazzling White color options, that will be up for pre-orders from Samsung, starting today, where the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 will be sold at a price of 499.99 United States Dollars and the Tab S 8.4 will cost you $399.99. The new releases from the South Korean will make its way out next month, that will be available from a number of online retailers including, Amazon, Best Buy, Fry’s, Office Depot, Office Max, PC Richard & Son, Sears, Tiger Direct, Walmart.com and even Samsung.com. It is also read that, the new fleet of Galaxy Tab S tablets will arrive on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless, later this year, supporting all the carriers LTE network.

Lastly, the company has also introduced new custom accessories for their new slates, from Book Covers, which comes in three different viewing angles and Simple Cover, that offers both light weight protection and usability. Other than that, there is the new Bluetooth Keyboard and Samsung Level audio products in tow.

Xolo has officially announced Play 8X 1200


Yet another smartphone goes official from the Indian smartphone maker, Xolo named Play 8X-1200. Past week the company had announced 8X-1000 running Android version 4.4 KitKat with HIVE user interface. 8X-1200 is the manufacturers first true Octa-Core chipset running smartphone. It functions dual-SIM capabilities and has a gyroscope sensor that detects the orientation of the handset and reacts accordingly.

Xolo Play 8X-1200 will spot MediaTek MT6592T SoC with a clock speed of 2.0GHz Octa-Core processor and Mali 450 Graphics Processing Unit, that will provide the device with faster and smoother experience for a true gaming, 5-inches full HD IPS screen with 1080p display marked at 441ppi, 32 gigs of internal storage, two gigabytes of Random Access Memory, 13 megapixels primary auto-focus camera with PureCel sensor capable of recording 1080p videos and dual-LED flash light, 5 megapixels front-facer with BSI sensor, 2,300mAh powered battery and runs Android version 4.4 KitKat on the top. 

For connectivity it supports, HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and WLAN network. The new phone dimensions are 143 x 68.5 x 9.7 mm thick. It has got a standby up to 600 hours and deliver 24 hours of talk time. So, if you are an hardcore gaming fan on Android, this new Xolo handset should match you perfectly. Unfortunately, theres no news about the availability for the new device currently, but once it comes to the store shelves in India, it will cost you  19999, that makes around $329.

Xiaomi officially announced Redmi Note 4G in China



The Chinese based smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi has announced a new version of the companys existing Redmi Note phablet, that got officially sanctioned back in March. The new handset from Xiaomi will be named as Redmi Note 4G and as the named suggests, the new device from the phone maker will come with 4G LTE capabilities right out of the box, as the previous model only had support to countrys TD-SCDMA and HSPA networks.

This time instead of the MediaTek Octa-Core models, the newly announced Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G will tot a Quad-Core Qualcomm MSM8928 Snapdragon 400 processor and Cortex-A7 architecture, clocked at 1.6GHz, an Adreno 305 Graphics Processing Unit, 5.5-inches multi-touch capacitive touchscreen with of In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel, which is an active matrix TFT LCD screen technology along with GFF technology, at a display resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, also offering 178 degrees viewing angles, eight gigabytes of flash storage on board (expandable via microSD card slot up to 64GB), two gigabytes of Random Access Memory, 13 megapixels primary shooter with back-illuminated 28 mm lens, featuring wide angle and large aperture of f/2.2 and LED flash light, capable of capturing Full High Definition 1080p videos and a five megapixels front facing secondary snapper.

For connectivity, the Xiaomi made Redmi Note 4G has got support to Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (LE), dual-band WiFi 802.11 a/​b/g/N/ac, WiFi Direct, GPS + GLONASS, USB OTG and also compensating 4G TDD-LTE, 3G TD-SCDMA and 2G GSM countryside networks, a 3,200mAh powered lithium-ion polymer battery and running Android 4.4 KitKat with MIUI version 5.0. The smartphone is measured same at 154 x 78.7 x 9.5 millimeters in dimensions, where the smartphone will arrive in both Black and White color options, the manufacturer also offering the protective sleeves in many more shades. Unfortunately, the phone seems to be only available in China, at least for now for 999 Chinese Yuan, thats only about 162 United States Dollars.

HTC officially announces One 2014 M8 in Red for O2 and Pink in UK



If you are looking for yet another set of shade for the lately announced HTCs 2014 flagship smartphone, here we have two new colors coming to the United Kingdom. The Taiwanese multinational phone maker, HTC yesterday announced two new tints for their latest bellwether handset for the countryside Brits, out of which one will be in Red and another one in Pink, as leaked and tipped earlier.

Indeed, the new Red version of HTC One M8 (from the above picture) will be an exclusive to the telecommunications, internet and financial services provider, Telefónica O2 in Great Britain, which will be available for pre-order from 5th of next month, and should start filling up the store shelves with the next two days from then, expected by 7th of August.

And for the Pink cast (as seen from the below picture), we will be seeing it unique from the UK based mobile phone retailer, Carphone Warehouse, with pre-orders starting from today and should start shipping the consignment to customers by 7th of the upcoming month.
